Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. At times like these we are reminded of our mission as a community bookstore and how sometimes our “community” extends far beyond our city limits. We hope you will stop into our stores over the next several days and join us in sending support and love to Houston.
DONATIONS – Saturday, September 2nd through Monday, September 4th
Vroman’s Bookstore, Vroman’s Hastings Ranch and Book Soup will donate a portion of the proceeds of our sales to Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, in support of Houston and those affected.
LETTER DRIVE – Saturday, September 2nd through Wednesday, September 6th
Vroman’s Bookstore, Vroman’s Hastings Ranch, and Book Soup are collecting letters of support and appreciation to send to the thousands of emergency responders on the frontlines in Houston right now working tirelessly to help those in need. We hope you’ll join this effort by stopping by our store and dropping off a note of support or encouragement for us to send.
BLOOD DRIVE – Wednesday, September 6th from 9am to 3:30pm
Vroman’s main store will be hosting a blood drive in the parking lot sponsored by Huntington Hospital. Although this blood won’t be sent to Houston, the drive is in solidarity with those affected and will help others in need. Drop by the store to donate blood and receive a coupon for 30% off one transaction.
IF YOU ARE DONATING BLOOD PLEASE REMEMBER TO:
*Eat a nutritious meal – don’t skip any meals
*Start drinking water the day before and continue after your donation.
**Bring your photo ID with a birth date on it such as a Driver’s License. A work badge is not sufficient.
