Detectives utilized a dive team and scent K-9’s in the hopes of locating the child’s whereabouts in the Santa Barbara County area near Lake Cachuma Recreational Area where Andressian Sr. was said to be the night the child went missing.

Detectives were unsuccessful in finding him until more than two months later.

Andressian Sr. was arrested on April 25, after investigation on suspicion of child endangerment and child abduction, according to South Pasadena Police Department. His bail was set at $10 million. He was later released due to insufficient evidence.

The following week, detectives and family offered a $10,000 reward for any person who could offer information on the missing boy.

On Friday, June 23, Armazd Andressian Sr. was arrested and booked at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for the alleged murder of his 5-year-old son, who at the time, was still missing. Andressian Sr. was extradited to Los Angeles County where he pleaded not guilty to the murder of his son. His bail was once again set at $10 million.

The following week, July 1, Detectives located the remains of the missing child in the Lake Cachuma area of Santa Barbara County.

Exactly one month later, on Aug. 1, Andressian Sr. pleaded guilty to the murder of 5-year-old Aramazd Andressian Jr. The father’s motives for killing his son are still unknown.
