The League of Women Voters of the Pasadena Area is inviting the public to an ice cream social to see its new offices this Sunday, July 23 from 3-5 p.m. The offices are located at the Western Justice Center, 55 South Grand Ave., Pasadena.

The cost is just $10 for the first member of each family and $5 for every additional family member over 13. The cost for high school and college students is also only $5. This will include legendary (at least locally) Fosselman’s Ice Cream with hot fudge and whipped cream.

This is also a chance to get to know some of your elected officials who will be in attendance. There will be a silent auction for such items as a mountain vacation, and tickets to the Pasadena Playhouse.

There will even be a Dixieland band. It might be a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and perhaps give your children a civics lesson at the same time. And the ice cream is the “sugar to make the medicine go down.”
