Pasadena City College to Host Community Town Hall and Resource Fair
The County of Los Angeles Consumer Affairs Advisory Commission invites residents of Pasadena and neighboring communities to a Town Hall and Resource Fair on Thursday, July 20 at Pasadena City College’s Craveling Lounge from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Consumer experts from the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) will offer free advice to community members about how to recognize and avoid common scams. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about issues involving housing, including disputes between landlords and tenants, loan modification assistance, and solar panel installation.
The Federal Trade Commission, Housing Rights Center, Contractors State License Board, California Department of Insurance, and California Department of Business Oversight will be present to provide information. Representatives from other County agencies include the Department of Public Social Services, Office of the Assessor, Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services, and 211 Los Angeles County are scheduled to attend.

The goal of the Consumer Affairs Advisory Commission is to enhance consumer protection in Los Angeles County through its relationship with DCBA. The Commission and DCBA have partnered to produce exhibits, informational materials, and bring resources specific to the needs of residents in Pasadena and the neighboring communities.
