At about 7:43 a.m. Pasadena Police detectives were in the area of Arroyo and Windsor Avenue for burglar suppression.  The detectives noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area and requested assistance from uniformed patrol officers.  The vehicle was stopped and officers contacted the occupants.  During the field investigation, officers developed enough probable cause to arrest four suspects for conspiracy to commit burglary. All four suspects were on some form of probation / parole supervision.  Great proactive police work!

On May 26, at about 7:54 p.m., Pasadena Police officers investigated an assault with a deadly weapon (ADW) in the 1200 block of Daveric Drive.  On arrival, officers learned that the suspect and victim had been engaged in a long-term relationship.  The suspect, a male Hispanic adult, went to the victim’s place of employment and an argument ensued.  During the argument, the suspect obtained a wood stick and struck the victim.  The suspect fled the location in a private vehicle prior to the arrival of the officers; however, the suspect’s identification is known to the police. Our investigation is ongoing.

The suspect was arrested without incident and booked at the Pasadena jail.

At about 4:25 a.m., Pasadena Police Officer J. Calderon was on routine patrol when he was flagged down by a community member who said that there was a robbery in progress at 3538 East Foothill Boulevard.  Officer Calderon tactically approached the business and saw the suspects (2 male adults and 1 male juvenile) running from the location.  Officers assigned to Team 5 responded quickly and contained the area.  Subsequently, the three suspects were taken into custody without incident. Team 2 & 5 Officers assisted with the search and located the firearm used in the robbery. PPD officers also located a vehicle parked near the robbery with the engine running.  Additional evidence was also recovered from the car.  Excellent job by all the officers involved.  They clearly faced a dangerous situation (multiple armed suspects) and were able to avoid a lethal encounter.

June 2

At about 8:13 a.m., Pasadena Police Officer Woolford was on routine patrol in the area of Raymond Avenue and Washington Boulevard when he saw a motorist driving nearby and noted that his vehicle was in poor condition.  Officer Woolford developed probable cause and stopped the driver.  The driver (male adult) was driving on a suspended driver’s license.  Following an arrest for 14601 CVC, Officer Woolford discovered a handgun in the trunk of the car.  As it turns out, the gun was stolen in a recent Pasadena residential burglary. The suspect was transported to the Pasadena jail and booked for several charges.

June 3 at about 3:53 p.m. Pasadena Police officers investigated an armed robbery in the 1700 block of E.
