Enthusiasm for the 25th anniversary Letter Carriers’ “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive is already running high. The nation’s largest one-day food-collection event is only a few days away, Saturday, May 13.
Volunteers are needed to unload mail trucks full of donated food from the Altadena, Pasadena, Monrovia, Duarte, San Marino, Arcadia and Sierra Madre neighborhoods. The food will be quickly sorted and loaded onto Foothill Unity Center trucks. The food will finally be unloaded at our Monrovia warehouse. It is a lot of work and many hands are needed and greatly appreciated.
Note to all volunteers: comfortable closed toe-shoes must be worn. no sandals/flip flops — post office rules. water and light snacks will be provided.
Important: Youth and youth groups under age 14 must be accompanied by parent/guardian at all times.
