The United States Dept. of Justice has listed details about the weapons the ATF seized from a high ranking Pasadena police officer’s home in February.
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents served a search warrant of Pasadena police officer Vasken Gourdikian’s home in Sierra Madre, February 16 and confiscated numerous weapons in an ongoing investigation. The weapons confiscated included high power rifles as well as handguns
AFT Public Information Officer Ginger Colbrun in the Los Angeles field office declined to confirm or deny the identity of the officer in question but directed Pasadena Independent to notices published on a USDOJ website which lists not only the officer’s name but details of all the seized weapons seized which included:

Benelli, S. PA. M4 Shotgun CAL:12 SN:Y068643W, valued at $1,600.00,
Bushmaster Firearms BACR Rifle CAL:Multi SN:ACRC003244, valued at $1,700.00,
Colt Commander Pistol CAL:45 SN:4089WCA, valued at $849.00,
Colt Commander Pistol CAL:45 SN:CJ07182, valued at $849.00,
P-415 Rifle CAL:Multi SN:14RB-01056, valued at $1,500.00,
Colt Delta Elite Pistol CAL:10 SN:DS31845, valued at $990.00.
A total of 30 pistols and 20 rifles as well as a few shotguns were listed.
Why the Pasadena police officer’s home was raided remains sealed and is under investigation. The ATF and FBI will not comment on any ongoing investigation.
This just a partial list, many more weapons were seized by the ATF on February 16 from Vasken Gourdikian in Sierra Madre for forfeiture pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Section 924(d).
The Eric D. Harden, Special Agent in Charge for the AFT Los Angeles Field Division issued a letter dated March 31, 2017 advising law enforcement that officers are required by law to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL) before engaging in the selling/buying of firearms.
Harden went on to say that “ATF discovered some law enforcement officers { who do not have an FFL} are purchasing “ off roster” firearms. California law restricts FFLs sales of theses firearms to law enforcement only and reselling those firearms to non-law enforcement entities for a profit.” This is a violation of federal law.
Pasadena Police Dept. says the investigation is not connected to Gourdikian’s work at PPD. The former Pasadena Police Dept. spokesman and adjutant to Chief Sanchez remains on indefinite leave.
