Art on Palm at New Location
For one day only, rain or shine, artists will exhibit their work at Art on Palm, Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., at a new location: Arlington Garden, 275 Arlington Drive, Pasadena.
Arlington Garden, is a public garden reclaimed by the vision, determination, and work of Betty and Charles McKenney. Once an abandoned patch of weeds, Arlington Garden is now a collection of alfresco ‘rooms’ featuring plants that thrive in Southern California’s distinct climate zones; from the Olive Tree Allee to desert xeriscape borders, Live Oak havens and fields of native wildflowers to rush-filled swales that soak in storm water runoff, and an orchard of Orange trees. Bordered by Pasadena Avenue and Arlington Drive, the Garden is a bucolic retreat within the urban landscape. Arlington Garden is free, open sunrise through sunset, each day of the year.
Art on Palm is a one-day juried show and sale of original work that happens twice a year; in the spring and the fall. The spring 2017 event presents artisans: Charlotte Barnard, Marcia Bloom, Debbie and Tom Borusky, Evan Chambers, Ovie and Catherine Cowles, Ellen Dinerman, Rick Drobner, Sandra Encinas, Raquel Escobar, Lisa and Tamara George, Marc Gordon, Andrea Haffner, Beverly Jones, Yoko Kanayama, Barbara Lamb, Ron Lawrenz, Nohine L’Ecuyer, Susan Loraine, Randy Meaney, Betsy Miller, JoAnn Page, Lucia Pasquinelli, Laurie Jo Phillips, Jolana Pineda, Rone Prinz, Janet Saucedo, Tracy Chamberlain and Soozee Van Dyke Woods, Kathy Spear, Kathleen Swaydan, Naomi Tratar, Peter Vasquez, Louise Wannier, Lys Wilcox, Stephen Woodruff, Anthe Woscyzna, and Hitomi Yamamuro.
