Gene Glasco Pays Tribute to Arcadia Honor Guard

Recognition given to the Police Department’s Honor Guard last Tuesday evening’s city council meeting was spearheaded by the Arcadia Vietnam Monument’s Founder, Gene Glasco. Glasco distributed “Thank You” plaques and specially struck silver and black Monument Challenge Coins were given to members of the police honor guard.
 
Arcadia Police Department’s Honor Guard was recognized for their dignified and skilled performance at the dedication of the Arcadia Vietnam War Monument May 28. A Presentation by Brigadier General Ruth Wong (Ret.), Los Angeles County Director of Military and Veterans Affairs was made on behalf of Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger. Another Presentation was given by Glasco to Mrs. Linda Candy, sister of one of Arcadia’s casualties in the Vietnam War.
