What

Every year since 2000, the So Cal Women’s Health Conference & Expo brings together more than 2,000 women, community-based health organizations, medical professionals, and beauty and wellness experts for a day of education, inspiration and fun. The full-day event is designed to empower women to make better decisions about their health, wellness, and lifestyle by offering information on health challenges, available services, resources and ways to influence health policy. This year’s conference Chairs are Jihee Huh, Vice Chairman of PAFCO and Kathryn Barger, Chief of Staff for Supervisor Michael Antonovich.

Some of the most renowned physicians and healthcare professionals are presenting more than 26 workshops during the conference. Medical information, free health screenings and flu vaccinations, as well as samples, makeovers, demonstrations from beauty, health and fitness companies are offered at the expo throughout the day. Admission to the Conference and Expo are free and open to the public. Register for your workshops in advance online at www.thesocalhealthconference.com.

The Man Cave

The So. Cal Women’s Health Conference presents The Man Cave in partnership with Gamma Zeta Boule of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. This is a component of the conference focusing on Men’s Health, with workshops on prostate cancer, healthy living and many more. Attendees will have recreation opportunities including a dominoes competition, and card tournaments. In addition, there will be lunch with Elected officials.

Our Breakfast Speakers are Congresswoman Judy Chu, Linda Clemons and Jodie Walker. The Luncheon Speaker is Phuong Ly Gallagher. 94.7 The Wave is the radio sponsor. Stephanie Spruill is the featured vocalist noted for performing with Elton John, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey.

The annual So Cal Women’s Health Conference & Expo is hosted and presented by Community Women Vital Voices in partnership with several key community and service organizations. Lena L. Kennedy of L.L. Kennedy & Associates is the founder and organizer. The planning committee comprised of more than 60 women and men from the health industry, churches, nonprofit organizations and local businesses.

The event is supported entirely by the generosity of Corporate sponsors, donated resources, volunteers from community organizations, in-kind donations and gifts. The So Cal Women’s Health Conference & Expo’s presenting sponsors are Arcadia Methodist Hospital, PAFCO and Wells Fargo.
