Nov. 13

Shortly before 6:32 p.m., an officer responded to Albertsons, 298 E. Live Oak Ave., regarding a shoplift report. A loss prevention specialist witnessed the suspect conceal numerous cans of baby formula inside an empty shopping bag before exiting the store, failing to make payment. The 42-year-old male from Anaheim was apprehended, arrested, and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The officer also located an additional 30 containers of baby formula in the suspect’s vehicle.

 Nov. 14

Around 2:21 a.m., an officer responded to the ARCO gas station, 625 Las Tunas Drive, regarding a traffic collision. The officer discovered the driver fell asleep while driving through the parking lot and collided with the emergency gas shut off terminal. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the suspect was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The 35-year-old male from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At about 7:28 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of El Dorado St. regarding a robbery report. The victim stated he encountered the suspect who was carrying a gardening hoe and demanded cash. A struggle ensued over the gardening hoe and the victim was able to gain control of the hoe. The suspect fled but was located a short time later. The 16-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just after 8:02 p.m., an officer responded to the 00 block of Genoa Street regarding a vehicle burglary report. An investigation revealed the 16-year-old male from Arcadia involved in the aforementioned robbery was seen inside the victim’s vehicle and was in possession of the victim’s property. There was also evidence the suspect attempted to steal the vehicle. These offenses were added to his list of charges.

 Nov. 15

Around 2:51 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Medical Pharmacy, 612 W. Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed two suspects smashed the pharmacy door and fled with $60 in coins.

Suspect one, was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, grey tennis shoes, black gloves, and was carrying a duffle bag and yellow crow bar. Suspect two, was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves, tan hiking boots, and black gloves. The investigation is ongoing.

Just before 4:40 p.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a theft report. The officer discovered the victim had her wallet and iPad stolen from her purse as it hung from the bathroom stall door. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect is a 59-year-old female from Los Angeles. The suspect is outstanding at the time of this report.

Nov. 16

Shortly after 2:58 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Oxford Drive regarding an audible alarm activation. The officers determined unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear window sliding glass door, ransacked the residence, and fled with an unknown amount of property. The investigation is ongoing.

 Nov. 17

At about 9:23 a.m., an officer was flagged down by a victim stating the mail box to his apartment complex in the 2400 block of South Baldwin Ave. had been broken into. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect pried open the community mail box and stole an unknown amount of mail. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

At approximately 11:09 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Rodeo Road regarding a stolen vehicle report. The officer discovered an unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked window, proceeded to the garage, and stole the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Temple Station. The investigation is ongoing.

Around 1:38 p.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of W. Longden Ave. regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. The officer contacted the subject and, through a series of tests, determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance. She was also in possession of a meth pipe and had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. The 31-year-old female from San Bernardino was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Nov. 18

At about 3:32 a.m., an officer conducted extra patrol near the intersection of Fourth Avenue and East Longden Avenue and witnessed two suspicious subjects running from their vehicle toward a residence. An investigation revealed two suspects had stolen mail from a number of Arcadia residences, and were in possession of stolen credit cards, a stolen laptop, numerous cell phones and two meth pipes. The 32-year-old female from Pacoima and 24-year-old female from Alhambra were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just before 4:45 p.m., an officer responded to Victoria’s Secret, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding two suspects in custody for shoplifting. The female suspect put on a sweater and exited the store, failing to make payment. The officer located the suspects and, upon a consensual search of the female, found drug paraphernalia. During a consensual search of her male counterpart, the officer located heroin and drug paraphernalia. The 28-year-old female from Arcadia and the 55-year-old male from Arcadia were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Nov. 19

Shortly after 11:06 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Rodeo Road regarding a robbery report. An investigation revealed the victim confronted the suspect for making inappropriate comments about the victim’s female friend. The suspect responded by punching the victim and stealing his wallet. Then an additional six male suspects began hitting the victim. The suspects fled westbound on foot. Suspect one is described as a Hispanic male, 18 to 20-years-old, with a buzz style haircut. The remaining suspects were described as Hispanic males, between the ages of 16 and 20-years-old. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 11:06 p.m., an officer responded to the 1600 block of Rodeo Road regarding a second robbery report. The victim approached a group of friends and discovered they were being robbed. The suspect pointed a handgun at the group and demanded cash and property. The victim handed the suspect his phone and wallet and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, clean shaven, in his twenties, with short curly hair. The investigation is ongoing.
