Taste of Monrovia
Taste of Monrovia happening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday Oct. 9, local merchants and restaurants will participate in a festival of food, music and spirits. This event will take place on Myrtle Avenue and will showcase local culinary arts and beverages. Please come out and enjoy an evening under the stars to support Kiwanis and all of the great things they do to assist youth programs in the community. Sierra College as they host a variety of food trucks for the public to enjoy every first Thursday of the month from 5:30 p.m. 9 p.m., along with an opportunity to participate in monthly community service initiatives. Each month, Mt. Sierra College spotlights a charity or organization that needs community support by collecting donations, volunteers, etc. There are vendors, great food, and music for all ages to enjoy. Have a liking for vintage hot rods, trucks and motorcycles? Then come out to the Brookside Golf Club, on 1133 Rosemont Ave. in Pasadena Oct. 8. There the Family Fire Foundation will be holding the 2nd Annual Wheels on Fire Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admire hot rods, classic rides, awesome trucks, vintage motorcycles and antique fire trucks for $5 admission or free for children 12 and under. Food trucks, beer and wine gardens plus photos with firefighters will be included for the fundraiser.
