Break out the lederhosen, because this Bavarian bash is back! Join Santa Anita Park on Saturday, Oct. 1 for a trackside event that’ll have fans right in the action, from before the first race, until after the last.
October is dedicated to beers, brats, and good times, so start it off right with all of the above, plus live Thoroughbred racing to (das) boot!
This jam-packed day of German culture will include authentic fare, courtesy of The Berlin Truck (www.theberlintruck.com), craft beers and ciders, and traditional German music featuring Bavarian Wunderband.
Don’t miss a chance to earn betting vouchers by competing in the stein-holding and corn-hole competitions, and be sure to dress to the “neins” for the costume contest!
Oct. 1 is also Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” Challenge Saturday, with five highly-contested Grade I stakes races set as the day’s main event. Champions California Chrome, Beholder, and Stellar Wind are all set to compete in their final prep for the 2016 World Championships this Nov. 4 and 5 here at The Great Race Place.
