Repairs have been completed on Lower Clamshell Truck Trail. Earlier this year there was a breakaway failure on a portion of the trail, which is located just off Ridgeside Drive.
This damage created a significant public safety issue. In addition to fixing the road failure, significant improvements were made along the trail. These will help prevent future erosion in the area.
According to City Manager Oliver Chi, the city is developing additional maintenance plans for the trail system in this area, which is a part of the Hillside Wilderness Preserve. Additional maintenance efforts are planned for the coming months.
