Aug. 7

At about 2:16 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of First Avenue and Huntington Drive for an unsafe turning movement. As the officer exited his vehicle to contact the driver, the driver sped off. A high speed pursuit ensued and ended when the driver hit a dead end and fled on foot. An investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen. The 23-year-old male from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just after 7:12 p.m., an officer responded to the 000 block of Bonita Avenue regarding the report of a suspicious occupied vehicle. An investigation revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and she was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The 34-year-old female from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Aug. 8

At about 1:14 a.m., Officers contacted subjects in a vehicle parked behind a closed business in the area of Randolph Street and Kardashian Avenue. A consensual search of the vehicle revealed the subjects were in possession of drug paraphernalia. The 30-year-old male from Montclair and the 27-year-old female from El Monte were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At approximately 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a residence on the 1700 block of Rodeo Road regarding a domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed the suspect attempted to harm the victim with a knife. The victim managed to lock the suspect outside and then called the police. An emergency protective order was issued and the 33-year-old female from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Aug. 9

At about 5:26 p.m., officers responded to the area of Baldwin Avenue and Arboretum Way regarding the report of a fight in progress. Three juveniles were contacted and one fled the scene. An investigation revealed one of the juveniles had been reported missing. Two of the juveniles were in possession of stolen property taken from stores inside Westfield Santa Anita. The 13-year-old female from Pasadena and the 14-year-old male from San Gabriel were issued citations and released to their parents.

Around 11:15 p.m., an officer responded to a residence on the 1500 block of South Baldwin Avenue regarding a burglary. The officer determined unidentified suspect(s) entered the residence through an open sliding glass patio door, stole a camera bag containing a camera with lenses and a bicycle left in the patio, before fleeing. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located. The investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 10

At approximately 3:35 a.m., officers responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Arcadia Avenue regarding an unknown suspect on the resident’s second story balcony. An investigation revealed the resident was asleep when he awoke to the sound of someone jumping onto his balcony. The resident called the police and held the suspect at gunpoint until officers arrived. An investigation revealed the suspect was under the influence of a controlled substance. The 24-year-old male from Los Angeles was issued a citation, then transported and released to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for treatment.

Just after 2:40 p.m., officers responded to a parking garage at 411 East Huntington Drive regarding a suspicious occupied vehicle. An investigation revealed a subject was seen exiting the vehicle and attempting to open the doors of other vehicles parked at the location. Officers contacted three subjects inside the vehicle and discovered one subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The 28-year-old male from Monrovia was issued a citation and released at the scene.

Aug. 11

At about 7:20 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of West Camino Real Avenue regarding the report of a hit and run. An investigation revealed the suspect was driving westbound on Camino Real Avenue when he struck the elderly pedestrian who was walking westbound in the street. The suspect stopped briefly to check his vehicle then continued southbound on Baldwin Avenue. The suspect is described as male, Asian, approximately 70-years-old, with grey hair, clean shaven, wearing a short sleeved shirt and slacks. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model white Mercedes sedan with paper plates.

At approximately 1:13 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of IHOP, 1113 Baldwin Ave. regarding a vehicle burglary. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect smashed the front passenger side window of the vehicle and stole an iPad and wallet. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. No suspects were seen, and no witnesses were located.

Aug. 12

At approximately 6:48 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of Westfield Santa Anita, 400 South Baldwin Ave., regarding the report of a subject attempting to open doors of parked vehicles. The suspect was seen leaving the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was blocked by a mall security vehicle and the suspect was apprehended. An investigation revealed the vehicle driven by the suspect was reported stolen. The 14-year-old male from Pasadena was detained and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At about 7:51 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 100 block of West Duarte Road for having tinted windows and failing to maintain proper lighting. Upon contacting the driver, the officer discovered the 24-year-old male from El Monte was driving with a suspended license and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Aug.13

At about 12:54 p.m., an officer responded to a residence on the 800 block of West Foothill Boulevard regarding suspicious circumstances. An investigation revealed the victim heard a knock at her front door, saw a subject she did not recognize and decided not to answer. The suspect then ran towards the rear yard. The victim then heard windows being smashed. It was discovered that several rooms had been ransacked while the victim was inside her residence. The suspect fled down the driveway and out of sight. The investigation is ongoing. The suspect is described as female, average height, thin build, wearing a white shirt with blue jeans.

Just after 8:50 p.m., officers responded to Arcadia High School, 180 Campus Drive, regarding the report of a traffic collision. An investigation revealed the driver crashed into two parked cars. Upon contacting the driver, the officer noticed he displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. It was discovered the subject had smoked marijuana and taken Xanax. The 22-year-old male from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
