Seven Free Concerts Remaining

There’s music in the air this summer as the city is pleased to be able to share that there are 15 free concert events that are remaining as part of the summer concert series programs! All concerts will take place at Library Park and at Station Square, and an overview/schedule of each concert series event includes the following:

– Summer Concerts in Library Park: every Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. until Aug. 28. The eight-week series offers a variety of music genres, including Top 40, Mariachi, Classic Rock, Motown, and more! Bring a chair and come on out to Library Park every Sunday this summer to enjoy the tunes – you can even try out the new dance floor we’ve developed for those that want to dance! Lineup goes as follows: Aug. 14 – Stone Soul – Motown; Aug. 21 – The Smokin’ Cobras – Rockin’ Oldies; Aug. 28 – Boyz and the Beez – Country Swing.

– Levitt Pavilion Concerts at Station Square Monrovia: Monrovia and the acclaimed Levitt Pavilion have partnered to offer a special concert series at Station Square Park this summer! Come on out to Station Square Park by the new Gold Line Station every Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., through Aug. 17. The six-week concert series will feature a variety of Jazz, Latin, Americana, and children’s music performances. Lineup goes as follows: Aug. 10 – Birdie’s Playhouse – children’s music; Aug. 17 – Upstream – world music.

– Summer at Station Square Concerts – tribute band performances: in addition to the Levitt Pavilion Concert series, the city is also offering an additional summer concert series at Station Square Park in light of this being the inaugural summer of activity at Monrovia’s newest park! Stop by Station Square Park by the new Gold Line Station on select Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The musical features will include a tribute band collective playing songs from The Who, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, and the Doobie Brothers. The concerts are being sponsored by the Monrovia/Arcadia/Duarte (MAD) Town Council. Next concert: Aug. 18 – Doobies, Inc. – Doobie Brothers Tribute Band.
