Monthly Bird Walk with Pasadena Audubon (Aug. 13 @ 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Los Angeles Arboretum, 301 N. Baldwin Ave.). Whether you’ve been bird watching for years or just want to learn about the average bird that hangs around your neighborhood, anyone who simply enjoys the sight of birds is welcome to attend. The event is an easy walk and is welcome to birders of all ages and experience levels. The walk begins on the steps leading to the entrance of the Arboretum. True Food Kitchen Pasadena Job Fair (Aug. 11 @ 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., True Food Kitchen Old Pasadena, 168 W. Colorado Blvd.). True Food Kitchen, famed restaurant concept inspired by the principles of Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet, is hosting a job fair to hire staff for its Old Pasadena location, opening September 2016. Arboretum Summer Night: Cunao (Aug. 12 @ 5 p.m., LA County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 301 N. Baldwin Ave.). Cunao is a group of multi-ethnic musicians. They use their South American background to create evocative, poetic songs that transcend time. They put a global twist on their sound by exploring African rhythms, eastern European melodies and American rock aesthetics. Admission is free for members, $6 for general public, and $4 for children. Don’t forget to bring blankets, lawn chairs, umbrellas, and wine with your picnic-style dinner. Gates open at 5 p.m. for children’s crafts, followed by the concert at 6 p.m.
