July 31

At about 1:29 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Colorado Street and Michillinda Avenue for an unsafe lane change. An investigation revealed the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and he also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 25-year-old male from Pasadena was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just after 2:27 p.m., officers responded to the scene of a traffic collision that occurred on the 600 block of Walnut Avenue. An investigation revealed the driver struck two parked vehicles. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the driver. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the 39-year-old male from Arcadia was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Aug. 1

At about 12:19 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 900 block of Fifth Avenue for failing to stop at a stop sign. An investigation revealed the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The 29-year-old male from Monrovia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At approximately 7:22 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Baldwin Avenue and Duarte Road for expired registration. An investigation revealed the driver was also driving without a license and he presented the officer with fraudulent car insurance. The 30-year-old male from El Monte was issued a citation and released at the scene. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

Aug. 2

At about 11:54 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Peck Road and Clark Street regarding the report of a traffic collision with injuries. An investigation revealed Party-2 was turning right turn onto Clark Street, when Party-1 accelerated at a high rate of speed in an attempt to pass Party-2 on the right. Party-1 struck Party-2 and overturned in the intersection. Arcadia Fire Department Paramedics from Station 105 transported the involved parties to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Around 10:53 p.m., an officer responded to Drive-In Liquor, 10 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a medical assist. An investigation revealed the subject called from a payphone to request medical attention. Upon contacting the subject, she began striking, kicking and spitting at the officer and Arcadia Fire Department Paramedics. The officer noticed symptoms of alcohol intoxication and determined the subject was unable to care for herself. The 53-year-old female from Arcadia was transported and left in the care of Arcadia Methodist Hospital Personnel.

Aug. 3

At approximately 9:02 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 100 block of West Duarte Road for expired registration. An investigation revealed the driver was driving with a suspended license, expired registration and without car insurance. The driver was also in possession of a controlled substance. The 38-year-old female from Los Angeles was issued a citation and released at the scene.

Just after 8:20 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of Cortez Road regarding the report of a residential burglary. The officer determined unidentified suspect(s) entered the residence by forcing a window off its track. The suspect(s) then ripped the alarm control panel from the wall and stole numerous handbags before fleeing. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located. The investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 4

At about 7:02 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 600 block of West Duarte Road for no license plates displayed. An investigation revealed the driver was driving without a license. The vehicle he drove was required to have an Ignition Interlock Device and it did not. The 47-year-old male from El Monte was issued a citation and released at the scene. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

At approximately 1:13 p.m., officers responded to First Bank, 848 W. Duarte Road, regarding a robbery that had just occurred. An investigation revealed two suspects entered the location, brandished handguns and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects were last seen running from the location. Both suspects are described as male, African-American, 20 to 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. Both suspects wore masks and orange construction vests.

Aug. 5

At approximately 1:46 a.m., officers responded to Bonita Park, 100 S. Second Ave., regarding an activation of an Arcadia Police Department GPS tracker. Arcadia PD detectives had previously deployed decoy bicycles containing tracking devices to combat the increase in bicycle thefts around the city. An investigation revealed three suspects stole the bike, removed its tires, and placed it inside the trunk of their vehicle. Officers contacted the suspects and discovered additional stolen property, burglary tools and methamphetamine. The 33-year-old male and the 55-year-old female, both from Monrovia, along with the 30-year-old male from Arcadia, were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At about 9:49 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of West Camino Real Avenue, regarding suspicious circumstances. An investigation revealed a male suspect was seen by two separate residents, trespassing on their properties. Officers located the suspect who was in possession of methamphetamine. The 52-year-old male from Monrovia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Aug. 6

At about 4:04 p.m., officers received a license plate reader notification of a stolen vehicle in the area of Huntington Drive and Fifth Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and detained the driver and passenger. Both suspects were in possession of cocaine and the driver had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The 32-year-old male from Inglewood and the 39-year-old female from Signal Hill were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Just after 10:37 p.m., officers responded to Arcadia Community Regional County Park, 405 S. Santa Anita Ave., regarding a male subject causing a disturbance. Upon contacting the subject, the officer noticed he displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. It was discovered the subject had snorted a large amount of methamphetamine. The 35-year-old male from Arcadia was transported and released to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for treatment.
