What To Do When It’s Hot As Hell Outside

The weather gods are mad at us, maybe it’s Trump’s constant allegations that there is no such thing as climate change, or maybe just a super tough nudge to encourage us to REALLY start saving water and energy whilst trying to survive out here. Whatever it may be, make sure you survive this blistering heat by doing the following:

First thing’s first: Learn proper energy-saving etiquette. Sure, turning on five fans might sound like an amazing idea in scorching weather but unfortunetly it’s an idea that everyone has at one point, it will lead to a blow out. Instead, go to a local coffee shop, mall or library and hang. Oh, and don’t suddenly decide that you now is the time to wash a load of laundry. Wash at night or early in the morning to conserve energy.

Hydrate yourself: Make sure you have access to water at all times and sip it constantly. If you’re the type to forget, download the Waterlogged app that will remind you every hour. It also might be a good time to purchase a Swell water bottle to keep your water icy all day long.

Memorize this chart, it’s worth it.

Go remote: Office AC got busted? Settle into your new temp office, of the likes of The Semi TropicThe Line Hotel, and The Park Creative. Use their AC and fast internet services, free of cost.

Go for a Swim: Avoid the long drives by sticking to your local pools because no one wants to get stuck on a freeway with a sauna for a car.
