Arcadia Hotel Robbery

On Wednesday, June 8, at about 7:30 p.m., Arcadia police officers were dispatched a hotel in the 100 block of West Huntington Drive.

The caller reported that he went there to meet an escort he contacted through an online ad. The victim entered a room, but the person he expected to meet was not there.

The victim attempted to leave, but the suspect blocked his path. The suspect said he had a gun and he took the victim’s money.

The suspect walked away from the door and the victim was able to flee. The victim was not injured and no weapons were seen or found at the scene.

Officers located the suspect, and he was arrested for robbery and false imprisonment.

The suspect was identified as Niyan Brooklyn Milan, 22, resident of Chicago, Ill.

Milan was charged with violations of PC 211 – Robbery and PC 236 – False Imprisonment. Milan was booked at the Arcadia Police Department and transferred to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for housing.

Milan’s bail is set at $50,000 and his County Booking Number is 4675447.

This incident is being investigated by Arcadia Police Department Detectives.
