Petty Theft and Hit and Run Traffic Collisions

On Saturday June 4, at about 5:30 p.m., two suspects stole alcoholic beverages from a liquor store in the 500 block of north First Avenue. The suspects fled westbound on Colorado Boulevard in a silver-colored Nissan Altima.

The suspects’ vehicle struck a vehicle in the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue. While attempting to flee the scene of the initial collision, the suspects were involved in a second collision just north of the intersection.

Then the suspects drove east on Newman Avenue, where their vehicle struck a chain suspended across a private parking lot. The suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled the area. No injuries were reported as a result of the traffic collisions.

The suspects of the theft were described as:

– Suspect 1: male, Hispanic, in his 20s, 5-feet-7-inches tall, medium build, with a shaved head, and wearing shorts and a white or black shirt.

– Suspect 2: female, Hispanic, 18 to 20-years-old, 5-feet-8-inches-tall, 130 pounds, dyed red hair that was pulled back, painted-on red eyelashes, and she was wearing a black t-shirt and burgundy pants.
