The Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation presents the final concert in its 2015-2016 season, Daniel Ho with Warmest Aloha, on June 4, at 8 p.m.
The feel-good, island evening will feature a collaboration of music and dance by multi-Grammy award winner Daniel Ho and world-renowned kumu hula, Keali’i Ceballos.
This program of all-original Hawaiian and English language songs will bring together Daniel’s thoughtful musicality and beautiful vocals, and award-winning hula by Hãlau Keali’i O Nãlani. Daniel, Keali’i, and friends will make you feel at home with their Hawaiian-style hospitality and warmest aloha.
Members of the Arcadia High School orchestra will accompany Daniel’s ensemble. Daniel’s smooth jazz band Kilauea will also reunite to perform some of their greatest hits at the Arcadia Performing Arts Center. Kilauea features Randy Drake on drums and Steve Billman on bass.
“This is a special performance that has been eight years in the making and reflects not giving up on a dream: original songs paired with hula and symphonic grandeur. Joining us will be the award-winning Arcadia High School orchestra under the direction of Tom Forbes,” Said Daniel Ho. “I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing it all come together for the first time, and I hope it moves the audience.”
