The public is invited to a celebration of life in memory of Cynthia Rosedale Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pasadena Senior Center.

Rosedale was the director of special events, volunteers, and Senior Games at the Pasadena Senior Center for 25 years until her March 29 death after a year-long battle with cancer.

There will be a slide show of photos and memories of Rosedale, who served on the board of directors of the National Senior Games Association for several years and at the time of her death was vice chair of the board of directors of the California Senior Games Association.

A quartet from the Crown City Symphony, which she co-founded, will perform, as well as The Tap Chicks.

A representative of the National Senior Games Association will speak and her memory will be honored by representatives of the offices of Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, California Senator Carol Liu, and California Assemblyman Chris Holden. A letter from former Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard will be read.

The event will be catered by El Portal. For more information, call (626) 795-4331.

Founded in 1960, the Pasadena Senior Center is an independent, non-profit agency that offers recreational, educational, wellness, and social services to people ages 50-and-older in a friendly environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income, and homebound seniors.
