The Guild, a progressive Californian bistro, has opened its doors in a building with Hollywood history. Former home to the Screen Actor’s Guild during the ‘30s, the light yellow locale is quaint, offsetting the busy Sunset Strip right outside. Executive Chef Charles Cho (Flat Top NYC) takes inspiration from a gamut of international cuisines to bring a menu that plays well with their top notch wine selections. As is the benefit of LA’s food scene, an emphasis on seasonal elements and working with high-quality local farming is the backbone to this new up-and-comer.
Owner Diego Leporini had bigger plans in mind for the location, opening up an artisanal retail space and wine shop next door, making this a go-to for those that enjoy the dining out experience but also want to entertain at home at the same quality caliber.
With a few hot spots around, it’s a nice alternative for special occasions or intimate dinners with friends you actually want to talk to.
