Renowned Fitness Trainer and Clinical Psychologist Team Up to Help Special Needs Athletes

Brain Body 360 (BB360) is a comprehensive fitness program designed by award-winning strength and fitness trainer David Liston and Dr. Gwennyth Palafox, a clinical psychologist with an expertise in special needs.

Built upon a foundation of behavioral and developmental science, BB360 provides specialty exercise classes that cross-train the brain and the body to improve functioning and independence across the home, school, and community environments. Based on an overwhelmingly positive response to their Ball Skills Classes, the founders of BB360 have created a Ball Skills Bag that will be launched on April 1. The Bag is a convenient, affordable, and easy to use at-home program designed to improve the physical skills of individuals with special needs.

“When our athletes build these important physical skills, it creates a chain reaction of empowerment that leads to improved self-confidence, more meaningful relationships, and independence” states Co-Founder David Liston.

At BB360 the vision is twofold: create a community of acceptance, belonging, and trust that embraces special needs and help people become as independent as possible.

Classes are Monday at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Thursday at 3:30 p.m., Friday at 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., and Saturdays at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Classes are located at 990 S. Arroyo Parkway, #4, Pasadena.

April is National Autism Awareness Month. It represents an excellent opportunity to promote autism awareness, autism acceptance, and to draw attention to the tens of thousands facing an autism diagnosis each year. For over 50 years we have worked in communities (both large and small) to ensure our actions, through services and programming, have supported all individuals living with autism. Let us expand this work to focus on the rest of us – ensuring acceptance and inclusion in schools and communities that result in true appreciation of the unique aspects of all people. We want to get one step closer to a society where those with ASDs are truly valued for their unique talents and gifts.
