The Women’s Association of the Arcadia Presbyterian Church is sponsoring an Ecumenical Hymn Festival on Saturday, April 16, at 4 p.m. in the church’s sanctuary, 121 Alice St., Arcadia. They have invited the nationally known conductor, William Hatcher, to conduct the Festival, and Tabitha Henken to be the organist. A brass quintet will accompany the choir. In the ecumenical spirit, singers from Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, and Presbyterian churches of Hollywood, Fallbrook, Monrovia, Sunland, and Arcadia will join their voices for the Hymn Festival. Festivities will begin with bagpiper Jim Mustain’s playing of “Amazing Grace” in honor of Presbyterian Scottish heritage. A freewill offering will be received. A reception of punch and cookies will follow. For more information, please call Henken at (626)447-9506.
