The Arcadia Rotary Club is hosting a Field of Honor: One thousand U.S. flags standing in formation along Huntington Drive and Santa Anita Avenue in Arcadia County Park from May 21st through the 29th. This field is being placed in conjunction with the 19th Annual Salute to Veterans and Their Families, an event hosted by County Supervisor Mike Antonovich over Memorial Day weekend.

The flags will be placed at set intervals in precise formation and will be on 8” poles. While the individual flags are available for purchase to honor special individuals, the Club is currently searching for major sponsors for the event. The three Platinum level sponsorships have been sold to Bowden Development, Foothill Credit Union, and Forest Lawn Cemeteries; however, there are still sponsorships available at other levels.

Methodist Hospital of Southern California, Sierra Chevrolet, and Westfield Santa Anita have taken the first three Gold Level sponsorships at $2,500 each. There are still a few sponsorships left at this level. Sponsorships at the Gold level will give the sponsor its name and/or company name/logo on all materials for event, including signage at site at Huntington and Santa Anita. The signs will flank the podium and be up for the nine days of the event. These sponsors will also receive mention in all advertising and press releases, a full-page ad in the event program, recognition from the podium at the opening and closing ceremonies, and two invitations to the Field of Honor recognition luncheon.

At the Silver Level sponsors will receive name/logo on most materials for the event including that podium signage for the nine days of the event. They will also receive a half-page ad in the event program, reserved seating for two at the two ceremonies, and two invitations to the luncheon. Those who have signed up for these $1,000 sponsorships include the Arcadia Chinese Association, East West Bank, Waste Management, Rose Hills Memorial Park, AshRizk Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and several couples and syndicates; including Yvonne and Craig Flint; The Fong, Griffith, Mares, & Miller Syndicate; Jay and Robin Harvill; Frank and Patricia Hall; and Imy and Richard Dulake.

Bronze level sponsors (at $500) will receive the signage at the event, a quarter-page ad in the program, reserved seating for two, and two invitations to the luncheon. Sponsors at this level currently include Matt Denny’s; Bob and Patsy Harbicht; Erich and Melissa Rail; and The Brown-Cogbill Syndicate.

All sponsors will be recognized weekly in the Arcadia Rotary High Gear (newsletter) and widely publicized throughout the community in advertising and press releases. For more information on sponsoring this Field of Honor, please contact: Robert Harbicht at pbharbicht@gmail.com.
