The Pasadena Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles introduced the young women who will be presented at the 2016 June Debutante Ball at a Gala Tea held back on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at a private club in Pasadena. The festive holiday tea was served by President Nancy Twist, former presidents June Banta, Becky Garnett, Corinne Hawk, and Lois Matthews, and Sustaining Members Tempe Brooks and Harriet Plunkett.

The annual event, attended by active, Sustaining, and associate members of the Guild, honored the young women, their mothers, and grandmothers. Also in attendance were: Guild President Nancy Twist, 2016 Ball Co-Chairman Ruth Kokka, and Debutante Co-Chairmen Rita Bristol, Sue Brown and Melissa Patterson. The tea was expertly orchestrated by active members Judy Martin and Linda Stroud.

Proceeds from the June Ball will support the Pasadena Guild of Children’s Hospital project, the Pasadena Guild Endowed Chair in Developmental Biology and Regenerative Medicine. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has been named the best children’s hospital in California and among the best in the nation for clinical excellence with its selection into the prestigious U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll. Children’s Hospital is home to the Saban Research Institute, one of the largest and most productive pediatric facilities in the United States. The hospital is also one of America’s premier teaching hospitals through its affiliation since 1932 with Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
