On Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, an arson fire caused significant damage to Monrovia High School. Since that time, the Monrovia Unified School District has been working to coordinate the overall process associated with repairing the damaged facility. The Monrovia Unified School Board coordinated an in-depth study session review at a special meeting held on Dec. 20, 2015.
