-Bilingual English Mandarin Storytime, Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy a bilingual storytime with stories, songs, and activities in Mandarin and English. This 30-45 minute storytime is designed for ages three to five years of age. No advanced registration is required.
-A Friday Film for Middle School , Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.
Calling all middle school students! Come to the Library to watch a fun movie, meet with friends, relax, and have some snacks too.
-Arcadia Public Library Storytime Signups, Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at 10 a.m.
It is Storytime signup time at the Arcadia Public Library. Storytimes are a wonderful way to introduce children to the lifelong love of reading and the fun of visiting the community Library. Registration for the winter session will begin Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. for Arcadia residents with proof of Arcadia residency. At noon and onward, registration is open to everyone. Phone registration will be accepted beginning Monday, Jan. 11, 2016.
Baby Tales storytime is just right for babies four months through 23 months of age and their caregiver. Toddler Time is designed especially for nineteen months through three years of age with a participating adult, and Preschool Storytime focuses on kindergarten readiness for the four to seven year old child with longer stories, intricate crafts, and the option of attending with or without a parent or caregiver.

Why does it rain? What causes the wind? Will it ever snow in Arcadia? If you’ve ever asked these questions and more, come to the special STEAM program at the Arcadia Public Library. Inquiring children will hear some weather-related stories, learn about the scientific method, and conduct simple hands-on experiments to discover some of the myths and science behind weather.
