The Monrovia City Council recognized the very best in Holiday decorating at his meeting on Tuesday. Maps of the locations of all 32 homes entered in the contest are available at City Hall and at the Community Center and on this newspaper’s website: www.monroviaweekly.com. The following are the winners in each category:
Best Still Display: 309 North Madison Avenue
Best Outdoor Display: 541 Valmont Drive
Best Window Display: 208 South Mayfower Avenue
Most Effective Use of Lighting: 380 Norumbega Drive
Best Decorated Outdoor Tree: 308 West Lemon Avenue
Best Neighborhood Effort: Valmont Drive & Valmont Place
Snowman Award: 632 Terrado Drive
Children’s Choice Award: 333 Norumbega Drive
Santa’s Workshop Award: 639 Parker Avenue
Holiday Spirit Award: 550 South Park Rose Avenue
Judge’s Award: Rochelle Avenue
Tim McKeehan “Best of the Season” Award: 214 South Alta Vista
The final award is a memorial to a young man who died young and never lost his love for Christmas and the lights that made make the season bright.
