Pasadena Police earlier today apprehended a parolee in the 700 block of Raymond, near Fair Oaks.
William Boyer, PIO for the city of Pasadena, has stressed this is completely unrelated to the mass shooting in San Bernardino and the area is safe.

This incident is NOT related to the San Bernardino incident, according to the Pasadena Police Dept.

UPDATED:
Wanted Suspect Who Fled From Police Peacefully Surrenders

On December 2, 2015 at approximately 11:03 AM Pasadena police officers attempted to arrest Daylon Camp (African American male – 21 years old, Pasadena resident) who had an outstanding arrest warrant for burglary. The suspect fled from his parked vehicle and ran inside his father’s residence located in the 400 block of N. Raymond Avenue.
Officers established a perimeter on the residence in order to contain the suspect and attempted to gain compliance from him to exit his father’s home. When he refused to exit the home, the department evacuated the immediate residences surrounding the suspect’s father’s residence and the department’s SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Teams responded to the location.
At approximately 1:21 PM, the suspect peacefully surrendered to officers and was taken into custody without incident. No force was used nor any shots fired by Pasadena Police officers during this incident.
Unfortunately, some broadcast news stations erroneously reported that this suspect and incident were connected with an active shooter incident that occurred in San Bernardino earlier today. THE TWO INCIDENTS ARE NOT CONNECTED
