Dorothy’s Place: Happy Thanksgiving
By Dorothy Denne
This year, more than ever, I am most thankful for my family of friends. It has been a difficult year, but for today I am stopping to be thankful for all the good things, for all the things I take for granted, and even for the things I sometimes complain about.
I’m going to eat, drink and enjoy and be thankful I can. Tomorrow I’ll start my diet. Well, maybe not tomorrow but as soon as the left-overs are gone.
I share with you a little poem of wishes I received from a friend back in 2009:
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY.
MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP.
MAY YOUR POTATOES ‘N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP.
MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS.
MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE.
MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
