
Neill M. Chambers, born Dec. 15, 1959, made his final journey Home on Sept. 20, 2015, in Los Angeles, California. He had been a musician all of his life, receiving music training from the late great composer/arranger Phil Rizzo of the Stan Kenton Big Band fame.
Neill has written musical scores for various theaters with original cast recordings of children’s classics such as Charlotte’s Web and Sleeping Beauty. He played for recording stars, including Wynona Judd, for her VH-1 music videos and had entertained such music luminaries as James Taylor, Dolly Parton and Dave Brubeck. He appeared in TV shows such as 90210, Sons of Anarchy, Leverage and created music scores for Disney and ABC TV, commercial music for United Airlines, and multi-media electronic music for the “Mortal Kombat” video games. His company Pipeline To Music provided musicians for various events and worked with some LA’s top event planners. He loved playing piano at several local venues and country clubs, such as Shutters at the Beach, Spazio’s, and Larsen’s Steak house. He was the owner of Mercury Mobile Notary.
He was the loving son of Anna B. and Martin J. Chambers Sr.; devoted brother to Martin, Brian, and Kevin; dear uncle to Colleen, Molly, Maeve, Julia, Sean, Jack, Emma, Riley, and Meredith.
Neill was very spiritual and studied metaphysics. He was very passionate about yoga and conducted his life in a very positive way. Always a jokester, he would disguise his voice, when calling his friends on the phone. Neill was a devoted musician, playing everything from contemporary to classical.
