October 18
At about 11:31 a.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to California Boulevard and Raymond Avenue regarding a “Train v. Motorists” traffic collision. PPD officers learned that the motorist was driving west on California Boulevard from Arroyo Parkway. The motorist drove under the safety arms blocking California Boulevard traffic and attempted to cross the tracks directly in front of the train. The Metro train hit the car and pushed it off the tracks. Both the driver and his passenger were injured in the collision. The driver was subsequently arrested for felony drunk driving.
October 20
At about 12:27 p.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to the 400 block of Vineyard Place regarding a possible residential burglary in progress. A citizen called the PPD to report the suspects forcing their way into a neighbor’s residence. On arrival, officers quickly contained the area (with the support of the Police Helicopter) and immediately arrested two suspects (Male Juveniles, Los Angeles residents). The third suspect (Male Juvenile, Los Angeles Resident) was arrested a short time later after he was tracked by the Air Crew. All three suspects were arrested without incident and were in possession of the victim’s property.
At about 9:07 p.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to the 100 block of Painter Street regarding gun shots. On arrival, officers learned from a witness that a male and female were wrestling over a handgun in the parking lot of the residence. The female allegedly fired a single shot which hit a sliding glass door. The suspects fled the location prior to the arrival of the police officers. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
October 22
At about 6:22 a.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to 41 Grace Terrace regarding a residential burglary in progress. On arrival, PPD officers learned the victim was in his kitchen when he heard a noise. The victim looked outside and observed the suspect (Peter Crosby, 35, Male, Pasadena resident) attempting to enter the dwelling through a window. The victim confronted the suspect and detained him until police arrived. The suspect was arrested without incident. During our follow up investigation, PPD officers leaned Crosby was responsible for another burglary, which occurred in the 1200 block of Columbia Place. Less than an hour later, Crosby was arrested by the Pasadena Police Department at the Grace Terrace location.
October 25
At about 9:14 a.m., Pasadena Police Officers Ryan Castillo and Gyaneh Krikorian responded to the 400 block of South San Rafael Avenue regarding a suspicious vehicle parked with two occupants sleeping inside the car. On arrival, Officers spoke to the occupants of the car and during their investigation, observed a handgun (loaded) on the driver’s side floorboard. The person who was sleeping in the driver’s seat (Hayrapet Oganesyan, Male, 29, Glendale resident) was a convicted felon. He admitted to possession of the handgun and was arrested for a felon in possession of a firearm and booked at the Pasadena city jail.
