Every year Pasadena says thank you to America’s veterans, salutes their service, honors their sacrifices and promises their dedication to our nation will never be forgotten.

The free, annual Veterans Day commemoration at Centennial Square in front of Pasadena City Hall will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, and will end with a military flyover at 11:11 a.m.

At 11:30 a.m. the salute to veterans will continue when everyone is invited to the Pasadena Senior Center, just down the block at 85 E. Holly St., where hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and cherry cobbler will be served. Entertainment will be provided by The Bob and Bernie Show.

Prepaid lunch reservations must be made at the Welcome Desk no later than Friday, Nov. 6. The cost is only $5 for members and $7 for non-members of all ages.

Founded in 1959, the Pasadena Senior Center is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and over in a friendly environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income and homebound seniors.
