DEBATE DEBATE is bringing you a star-studded comedic performance alongside the Democratic National Debate during a delayed watch party at 8 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the historic Theatre at The Ace Hotel in downtown LA.
Instead of sitting at home yelling at your television and applauding for your favorites, while in turn trolling your Twitter feed for the best tweets join 1600 friends of democracy while they all watch the debate together with some of your favorite comedians. (Or watch it twice, the debate is running two hours delayed for a wider audience of people with “jobs” that can’t make it by 6pm.)
Comedians weighing in at the National Debate will include: Tim Heidecker (Adult Swim, Tim and Eric), Douggpound (Adult Swim), Eliza Skinner (Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell), Brent Weinback (Comedy Central, Adult Swim), The Lucas Bros (22 Jump Street, Lucas Bros Moving Co), Brendon Walsh (Comedy Central).
Organizers stated “There is no doubt the Presidential election of 2016 will be historic and hotly contested. The possibilities of the current campaign season have millions of young people excited, some for the first time. Conversely, apathy also feels like it is at an all time high. It is our goal to foster the interest of those who are already engaged and to encourage the participation of those who are new to the democratic process. Enter DEBATE DEBATE. A new way to enjoy democracy.”

Afterparty till 1am
After the debates there will be an after-party with DJs including DJ Skeet Skeet and DJ Turbotito in the 3-tier, 2800 square foot Lobby Bar. Representatives from local democratic groups will be there registering voters, signing up volunteers and selling merchandise.
Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $50 for VIP preferred seating. All proceeds from event to cover production costs and bring you a series of DEBATE DEBATE eve nts this historic election year. More information can be found here.
