Con Gioia Early Music Ensemble presents Music for Two Harpsichords from Paris, Dresden, Leipzig, and Riga, featuring Preethi de Silva, Ruta Bloomfield, and Stephan Moss, on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at 4 p.m. at the historic and intimate Church of the Angels at 1100 Avenue 64 in Pasadena (www.coa-pasadena.org). The concert will also feature Franco-Flemish- and German-style harpsichords by two renowned American makers, Frank Hubbard and John Phillips.

The program for two harpsichords includes the following rarely performed works: François Couperin, L’Apothéose de Corelli; J. S. Bach, Concerto in C major, BWV 1061A; Johann Ludwig Krebs, Concerto in A minor; Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Concerto in F major, Fk. 10 and Johann Gottfried Müthel, Allegretto from Duetto in E-flat major. It will be an extraordinary occasion on which the listener will have an opportunity to hear two magnificent harpsichords in a selection of memorable works.
