“RISE of the Jack O’ Lanterns,” the nighttime Halloween spectacular featuring 5,000 hand-carved jack o’ lanterns, returns Oct. 1, 2015, for a second year to Descanso Gardens. “RISE” artists and sculptors will create enormous dragons, jungle creatures, classic cars, favorite characters, all out of carved jacks! This family-friendly display is arranged along an easy to walk 1/3rd mile path that is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Guests can watch as “RISE” sculptors turn 100 pound pumpkins into impressive artistic creations during a live carving session every night. And what Halloween event would be complete without the traditional ghosts and skeletons? Guests will be surprised how “The RISE” turns these Halloween icons into striking exhibits throughout the trail. Food and drink and unique holiday merchandise is available for purchase at “The RISE.”
“RISE of the Jack O’ Lanterns” runs Thursday through Sunday nights, from Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, 2015, during varying evening hours, ranging from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance at therise.org. Tickets are not sold at the door. Ticket prices vary from $22-28. Children two and younger admitted free. Discount tickets may be available for certain dates and times while supplies last with a promo code which can be obtained exclusively at therise.org. “The RISE” is a rain-or-shine event.
