I love museums – especially the automotive type. There is none better, in this Limey’s opinion, than The Peterson right here in Los Angeles. I was there recently for a tremendous exhibit of sports coupes … talk about drooling!

Don’t rush over there just yet as they’re closed now for some major construction .The Petersen Automotive Museum has officially begun construction and will re-open in December of 2015. During this time they will host many activities, contests, and interactive online challenges via social media and our website. To stay updated on everything they’re doing, it is pretty cool.

But what’s even cooler still is a website they are sponsoring—all about, guess what? Yes, cars and their respective stories: www.carstories.com.

This site has a wealth of information; podcasts and hundreds of cool photos and a little plug for Seinfeld’s Cars and Coffee which ran out gas recently but is apparently undergoing resurgence.

What caught my attention, being an MG nut, was the MGA Restoration. Beautiful detailed images and accompanying captions detail the work in restoring one of the greatest breeds of British cars ever, The MG.

They also want to hear from you (and me) about out love affair with cars.

This is a must see website for “gear heads” or anyone seriously interested in automobile history and otherwise.
