Suspect Arrested in Vehicle Collision Incident Which Left Two Injured

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at approximately 4:56 a.m., Temple Station deputies responded to a “vehicle vs. building traffic collision” call. When the deputies arrived they saw a vehicle had crashed through a local business in the 8400 block of Garvey Avenue, Rosemead and into a house located in the rear of the business. Two residents inside the house sustained minor injuries, one of the residents was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene of the accident.

At approximately 5:43 a.m., Temple Station deputies responded to the 2600 block of Stingle Avenue, Rosemead, regarding a “male threatening to commit suicide” call. When the deputies arrived, they realized the male threatening to commit suicide matched the description of the hit-and-run suspect.

Victor Gutierrez-Hernandez, 23, was arrested for felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence and is being held in lieu of $150,000.

The suspect’s booking photograph will not be released.

The investigation is still on-going.
