LASD Industry Narcotics Detectives Discover Marijuana Extraction Lab
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, at approximately 4 p.m., Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Narcotics Bureau, detectives were conducting an investigation in the 16800 block of Twin Hill Drive, Hacienda Heights. Narcotics detectives entered a residence and discovered a possible “honey oil” marijuana extraction lab. Inside the lab they discovered approximately 25 pounds of marijuana, amounting to $12,500 dollars, and 100 grams of concentrated cannabis, amounting to $6,000 dollars.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force (LA IMPACT), Clandestine Laboratory Team responded and assumed control of the investigation. LA IMPACT is processing the scene and collecting evidence.
One individual is being detained for 11379.6 HS (manufacturing a controlled substance).
The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available for release at this time.
