Friends In Deed’s Jazz on the Green: Smooth Sounds for a Sept. Evening

Friends In Deed returns to Castle Green on Sept. 16, 2015, for its annual gala fundraiser, Jazz on the Green. From 6 to 9:30 p.m., guests will be graced with the smooth jazz sounds of The Michael Haggins Quartet and the Ryan McDiarmid Trio while perusing silent auction opportunities offered by local businesses and community friends. Guests will also enjoy complimentary martinis, fine wine, beer and delicious hors d’oeuvres. We are excited by the lineup of sponsors and talent joining in this year’s celebration of Friends In Deed’s important work in the community.

This year’s honorees are Celia Leaver for Individual Community Service, Century Housing as Corporate Partner, and Pasadena Methodist Foundation as Community Partner. Each honoree has demonstrated dedication to the needs of the Pasadena community and been a valued supporter of Friends In Deed’s mission and programs over the years.

Friends In Deed, a social services agency in Pasadena operating for over 121 years, focuses on homeless prevention and family support services, with the goal of placing people in permanent housing. We also operate the Bad Weather Shelter, Food Pantry, The Women’s Room (a day program for homeless women), and Norma’s Nook, a store where the homeless and disadvantaged can shop for needed clothes at no charge.

Tickets for Jazz on the Green are $125 per person and can be purchased at www.friendsindeedpas.org or by calling (626) 797-2402. Business and individual sponsorships for the event are available and begin at $500.
