LA may be split pretty evenly when it comes to the drone debate. Are they intrusive and possibly a security risk? Maybe, but it’s hard to hate on them completely when creative videos like Ian Wood‘s “Los Angeles” do their drop (to pun or not to pun?). This stunning exploration of Los Angeles shows a side of the city that goes deeper than the standard media depiction of the beach, the hills and the boulevard—which may be why tourists look so disappointed when wandering around Hollywood Blvd.
The drone gives a birds eye view of the city flying through nooks and crannies of LA which I’ve never seen in my 23 years of residence. Upon each viewing of these captures, I’ve been delighted to notice something new. Check out the video yourself and possibly be inspired to explore a part of the city in which you’ve never stepped foot in or driven through, around, about:

“Los Angeles” is an encore to Ian Wood’s beloved drone journey through DTLA last year titled “Downtown Los Angeles”, view both below and many more drone missions on Ian Wood’s vimeo page.
