Firefighter Towns administers oxygen to a small dog who was suffering from smoke inhalation-Photos by Terry Miller

At approximately 2:15 PM Thursday, August 20, Monrovia firefighters and police responded to a 911 call of smoke in an apt. west of Mayflower on Foothill Blvd.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and started giving oxygen to several small dogs who resided in the complex. The dogs suffered from smoke inhalation but will be okay according to first responders.
Cause of the fire is unknown at this time. There were no other injuries.
