The sounds of Chicago sextet Wilco have been around the block with their soothing sounds, lyrics and cool cat style that inspire any fast-paced, modern mind. By “been around the block” we mean that they’ve just released two special collections—Alpha Mike Foxtrot, What’s Your 20?— for a 20th anniversary celebration and will be performing live for all you Angelenos on August 5th at The Greek Theatre. If you’ve haven’t had the chance to see Wilco live just yet, just note that for their 2014 tour, they turned up for a string of special concerts featuring diverse and ever-changing setlists, performing songs from every album at every stage of their career. The Chicago Tribune called opening night of a six-night residency at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre “bold, imaginative and vibrant.” That should be enough for all convincing purposes.
Get a taste of “Blasting Fonda” and “California Stars (live)” from Wilco’s Alpha Mike Foxtrot right here, and get those tickets for a magical night at one of LA’s most astounding venues.
