Arcadia’s Summer Concert and Movies in the Park Series

Mark your calendar! The City of Arcadia’s free summer concert series is finally here, so make sure you don’t miss out on the fun in the sun! The summer concerts are held on Thursday evenings starting at 6:30-8 p.m. on the lawn between City Hall and the Police Department (240 West Huntington Drive). Bring the kids out to participate in the free fun zone, featuring games, crafts, and activities each week. In addition, the City is pleased to announce The Grilled Cheese Truck at all of the 2015 Summer Concert Series! We look forward to making your hearts melt with all of our cheesy goodness. A portion of the proceeds will be given to the Recreation and Community Services Department! For more information, please call (626) 574-5113. Listed below is the line-up for July 16th.

The Late Bloomers (Folk Rock) – July 16, 2015:

Dan Ames, Gayle Bluemel, Ross Johnsen and Scott Shepherd are the Late Bloomers, an acoustic folk-rock band that have been performing together since 2006. Now two married couples, their early experiences began with music from Dylan, Neil Young and Paul Simon while still in high school in the sixties. They have since found their own sound by not only putting their individual stamp on favorites from that era, but by performing many new original tunes as well. They have individually been part of the Pasadena and LA music scene for many years and have played with other bands and are now enjoying their collaboration as the Late Bloomers.

Movies in the Park:

The Movies in the Park are held on Friday evenings with activities starting at 7:30 p.m. on the lawn between City Hall and the Police Department (240 West Huntington Drive). This Friday, July 17, Frozen (PG) is showing. Movies in the Park provided in partnership with CHOICESS Arcadia.

Frozen Sing-Along with Olaf and Elsa (PG) – July 17, 2015:

Kick off the summer and cool off in family style and sing along with Elsa and your favorite snow buddy, Olaf.
