At approximately 1:23 a.m. Thursday, Pasadena Police Dispatch received a call from employees at Carl’s Jr. on the 1400 block of E. Colorado Blvd. reporting that there was a man inside the restaurant armed with a knife and refusing to leave. The man also called dispatch while inside the restaurant and said he was holding a knife. Officers stopped the subject at the corner of Hill Ave. and Colorado Blvd.
Paramedics were called due to symptoms he was displaying. As the man was placed on the gurney, he became unresponsive. He was taken to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Pasadena Police Detectives are conducting an investigation.
