Monrovia Gives Youngsters a Chance to Experience a ‘Drive-in’

By Susan Motander

Who says young people will never get that “Drive-in Movie Experience?” Children from kindergarten through 5th grade will be able to attend a drive-in movie in a car they make themselves Saturday, July 11 at Monrovia Public Library.

Starting at 1 p.m. the youngsters will be able to construct a dream car in the Storytime Room in the children’s section of the library. When completed with the vehicle (it is amazing what you can do with a large cardboard box), the youngsters can “drive” their “cars” to the community room, which will be showing a collection of Pixar shorts. To top off the experience there will even be yummy movie snacks.

All supplies and food will be provided. Contact the Library for more information (626) 256-8274. Check out all the summer activities at Monrovia Public Library athttp://www.cityofmonrovia.org/library/page/things-do.
