Businesswoman LaJoya McCoy’s body was discovered June 16th about a mile from her home in Monrovia. She had been reported missing by family the week before. Her death is being investigated as a homicide. McCoy, 31, was a single mother of two children. She also owned a clothing boutique.

There will be a celebration of LaJoya McCoy’s Life July 3 at The First A.M.E. Church, at 1700 N. Raymond Avenue in Pasadena. The memorial will begin at 11 a.m.
